Michael W. Smith - records another live album

Christian Music News is a big fan of Three-time Grammy award winner Michael W. Smith. He recorded another live worship album six years after his previous worship album, Worship Again in 2002.

After producing two successful worship albums (Worshipwas released in 2001), Smith is taking on the third live worship venture. The Christian music star recorded with the African Children’s Choir and lead the congregation at the megachurch that reportedly had 20,000 worshipers. Lakewood's weekly service attendance figure is about 47,000, and is currently the largest church in the nation.

During the live recording (release date has not been set), Smith featured both familiar worship songs as well as original songs that he wrote for this project. Smith is regarded as one of the most influential artists in Contemporary Christian Music, working as an artist, composer, and worship leader.

Since his first solo project in 1983, Michael W. Smith has become one of the most popular artists in the Contemporary Christian world selling more than 13 million records and earning 29 #1 hit songs, 14 gold records, and 5 platinum records. In addition he has received 40 Dove Awards, an American Music Award, and three Grammy Awards. Smith won the Male Vocalist of the Year Award at the GMA Music Awards in 2003.
