I read this article about Christian contestants on American Idol. I really like the article but it's source surprised me - MTV? Certainly no bastion of the Christian faith I am surprised about the location of this article.
I really don't understand this comment "I think that Christians probably watch the show all the time but maybe don't admit it. But this gives them someone to root for in this cast who is not just talented but also follows their faith, and people want to get behind contestants who align with their views," said Joanne Brokaw, who writes the Gospel Soundcheck" column for the spirituality Web site BeliefNet.com.
I don't have any problem admitting I watch the show. I've been watching it faithfully since season 1. Does any Christian reading this post really watch American Idol in secret?
It's a music competition, I like music, I like listening to good/great singers. I have no problem admitting that.
Check it out.
